Está basada en la Colección Juan y Peggy Rada, formada por 50 cartas geográficas de Chile, América y del Estrecho de Magallanes... Desde el 7 de Abril hasta el 23 de Mayo de 2003. Ala Sur Primer Piso.


Está basada en la Colección Juan y Peggy Rada, formada por 50 cartas geográficas de Chile, América y del Estrecho de Magallanes, fechadas entre 1513 y 1854 y realizadas por algunos de los cartógrafos y grabadores más importantes de la historia de la cosmografía: Gerardo y Miguel Mercator, la familia Hondius, Chatelain, Forlani, Casini, Alonso de Ovalle, Levinus Hulsius; Herrera, la familia Sansón d´Abbeville, Robert Dudley, Jansonius, Blaeu, Coronelli, de Fer, de Bry, entre muchos otros. Entre los atractivos de la Muestra estará uno de los mapas más antiguos de América: la Tabula Terre Nove, (1513), también llamado el Mapa del Almirante. Su autor Martin Waldseemüller fue quien bautizó al continente como América. Se exhibirá también una edición especial del Atlas de Blaeu (Tomo 11) uno de los primeros atlas sobre nuestro continente. Los contenidos están a cargo del escritor y periodista Sergio Marras. El responsable del montaje es el director de teatro y director de la Opera de Santiago, el arquitecto, Ramón López. El responsable del diseño Es del artista visual Mario Fonseca.
